Laura Jones

RED SPRINGS — Laura Jones, of 14341 N.C. 72 West, was born April 20, 1968, in Robeson County to Christine Oxendine Jones and the late Enarce Jones and passed away suddenly May 31, 2013, at her home completing her journey of 45 years.

The funeral will be 3 p.m. Monday at God’s Holy Assembly Church in Shannon, the Rev. Hedrick Jones officiating. Burial will follow in Oxendine Cemetery.

Laura was an employee of Campbell Soup Company. She enjoyed reading books and supporting her family.

She is survived by her daughter, Samantha Locklear of the home; her mother, Christine Jones of Red Springs; six brothers, James Locklear of Sanford, Bobby Oxendine, Ricky Jones, Danny Jones and the Rev. Hedrick Jones, all of Red Springs, and Tillie Jones of Shannon; a sister, Peggy Clark of Red Springs; her partner in life Henry Jr. Locklear of the home and his children, Glory Ann Locklear, Donald Locklear and Tammy Locklear, all of Red Springs, and Tony Locklear of Lumberton; and her special relatives, Todd Rentz of Red Springs, Delana Lewis of Lumberton, and Telisa Tyler of Shannon.

The visitation will be 7 to 9 p.m. today at Boles Funeral Home in Red Springs.
