LUMBERTON — A free seminar on securing loans for small businesses and entrepreneurs will be held at the Robeson Community College Workforce Development Center on Wednesday from 1 to 4 p.m.

The three-hour session will provide information on alternative access to capital for all small businesses, including start-ups and those that have been in business for fewer than two years; have insufficient collateral; credit scores below the bank minimum; high debt-to-income ratios; or non-standard cash flow revenue streams. It will also provide information for small businesses seeking lines of credit; expansion capital; refinancing of debt, including credit card business expenses and/or existing long term business loans without renewals, calls or balloons; and refinancing for existing commercial real estate loans, and for those interested in commercial real estate financing.

The following lenders are scheduled to attend: U.S. Small Business Administration; U.S. Department of Agriculture; North Carolina Capital Access; Neuse River Development Authority; Center for Economic Empowerment and Development Authority; Center for Economic Empowerment and Development; Lumbee River Electric Membership; The Business Loan Store; and the Support Center.
