Deven Devon Jones, 24, of 5268 Elrod Road, was born March 25, 1988, and departed this life to be with his heavenly father on April 25, 2012.

The funeral will be held 3 p.m. Sunday at Willard’s Chapel Church. Burial will follow in Jones family cemetery on Faith Road.

He is survived by his wife, Tiffany Ann Jones; a daughter, Destiny Rose Marie Ann Jones of the home; his mother, Gayle Jones; his sister, Chasity Vance; his father, Vardell Hunt; brothers, Rodney Hunt, Travis Hunt, Brandon (BJ) Hunt, Daniel Hunt and Jacob Hunt; sisters, Keysha Locklear, Terrie Hunt, Melissa Wallace, Joelle Hunt and Charly Hunt; his grandfather, Stanford Jones; a special cousin, Adrian Locklear; and a host of relatives and friends.

The family will receive friends 7 to 9 tonight at Revels Funeral Home in Pembroke.

Lumberton

Penia N. McBryde, 93, of Lumberton, died on April 27, 2012, at her home.

A graveside service will be held 2 p.m. Sunday at Gardens of Faith Cemetery in Lumberton, the Rev. Tony Stevens officiating.

She was born in Johnston County on Sept. 8, 1918, to the late Thomas Nichols and the late Ceneth Raper Nichols. She formerly worked as a teacher for the North Carolina public school system.

Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, W.G. “Bob” McBryde.

McBryde is survived by two sons, Graham McBryde and his wife Gilda of Greenville, and Tommy McBryde and his wife Sandra of Shalotte; a daughter, Lillian Michael of the home; six grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be after the service.

The funeral will be 4:30 p.m. Sunday at Thompson’s Funeral Home Chapel, the Revs. Drs. Kenneth Locklear and Carolyn Worriax officiating. Burial will follow in Prospect UM Church Cemetery in Maxton.

Surviving are a daughter, Callie Locklear of Maxton; two sisters, Agnes Moore and Myrtle Locklear, both of Maxton; and a brother, Paul Locklear Jr.

Kimberly Oxendine Owens, 36, of 45 Hazel Road, Apt 5, died April 25, 2012, at Southeastern Regional Medical Center.

The funeral will be 8 p.m. Sunday at Thompson’s Funeral Home Chapel, the Revs. Perry Roberts and Gary Thompson and Brother Eugene Bryant officiating. Burial will be 11 a.m. Monday in New Prospect Holiness Methodist Church Cemetery in Maxton.

Surviving are her mother, Linda Oxendine of Maxton; her father, Kenneth Oxendine of Maxton; and two sisters, Elizabeth Oxendine and Rebecca Oxendine, both of Maxton.

The visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.
