Motorcycle ride set for Saturday
FAIRMONT - The Billy Wilcox Memorial benefit motorcycle ride will be held Saturday.
Registration is from 10 to 11 a.m. at the Fairmont Civitan Club House. The cost is $20 for singles and $30 for couples. Riders will receive a free T-shirt. There will also be a youth bicycle ride. The cost is $15.
There will be a pig pickin' and hot dogs and hamburgers afterward at the club house on Gertrude Street. Proceeds will go to the Madison Wilcox Scholarship Fund. Madison, 12, is Wilcox's daughter.

Pancake dinner Dec. 3 in Pembroke
PEMBROKE - The Pembroke Kiwanis Club will hold its annual Pancake and Sausage Sale on Dec. 3 at the Pembroke Elementary School cafeteria.
It will be from 6:30 to 10 a.m. Plates will cost $5. Proceeds will be used by the club to fund community projects.

Christmas parade Dec. 3 in Marietta
MARIETTA - The Marietta/Whitehouse Fire Department will hold its 19th annual Christmas parade on Dec. 3 at 11 a.m.
There is no fee to enter a float in the parade, but the deadline for entries is Nov. 26.

Barbeque plate sale set for Dec. 2
ALLENTON - The Allenton Volunteer Fire Department will hold a barbecue plate sale on Dec. 2 from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m.
The cost is $5 per plate and curbside service is available from 5 to 8 p.m. The fire station is located approximately five miles east of Lumberton on U.S. 211.
