PARKTON — Police are seeking two men who they say are responsible for robbing a Parkton store Thursday night.

Chief Ronald Starling of the Parkton Police Department said two men entered the Dollar General at 23848 N.C. 71 at about 9:48 p.m., held the store manager at gunpoint, and took an undisclosed amount of money.

Starling said the store manager suffered minor injuries during the incident.

“They pulled out a weapon and had the manager open up the safe and took the money out,” Starling said. “The store manager was hit in the head with the weapon.”

According to Starling, one of the men was dressed in all black with a black hat, was about 5 feet 10 inches tall and weighed about 260 pounds. The other was about 5 feet 11 inches tall, weighed about 220 pounds and was wearing black pants, a white shirt, white tennis shoes and a multicolored baseball hat. Starling said he appeared to be armed with a silver handgun. Both men were black, he said.
