Hunt — Chavis
Taylor Brooke Hunt of Pembroke and Solomon Dexderal Chavis of Maxton were united in marriage at 6:30 p.m. on June 29 at the home of the bride. Jefferey Barton officiated the wedding.
The bride is the daughter of Amira L. Hunt and Steven Con Hunt of Pembroke. She attended Purnell Swett High School and North Carolina State University. She works for the Public Schools of Robeson County as an agriculture teacher.
The groom is the son Dexderal and Cleopatra Chavis of Maxton. He attended Purnell Swett High School and Robeson Community College. He works for Chavis Inc.
The maid of honor was Mariah Sampson and the matron of honor was Alexandria Roberts. The bridesmaids were Kelsey Elk, Arielle Harding, Amber McDowell, Harley Chavis, Rebekah Chavis and Hanna Blue. The flower girl was Bailee Rae Locklear.
The best man was Dexderal Chavis and the groomsmen were Trevor Hunt, Jared Chavis, J.W. Roberts, Kederick Chavis, Caleb Chavis, Johnathan Parker and Nathan Pierce. The ring bearer was Luke, dog of the bride.
The musicians were Tommy Cox, Lakenya Reitz and Daniel McNeil.
A reception was hosted by the parents of the bride at Mt. Olive Pentecostal Holiness Church.
The couple took a wedding trip to Charleston, S.C.
They will reside in Maxton.
