Complaints lead to drug arrest

PEMBROKE — Robeson County narcotics agents and SWAT officers confiscated 250 grams of marijuana, 12 Alprazolam pills, and numerous pieces of drug paraphernalia after searching the home of a Pembroke resident on Thursday.


According to a statement from the Robeson County Sheriff’s Office, lawmen searched the home of Caroles Locklear after receiving complaints that Locklear, 34, was running a “make-shift convenience store” out of his home at 158 Hiawatha Road, selling drinks, snacks, cigars, marijuana and rolling papers.


Locklear was arrested and charged with possession with the intent to sell or deliver marijuana; maintaining a drug dwelling; possession of a schedule IV controlled substance; possession of drug paraphernalia; and possession of a firearm by a felon.


He was jailed under an $11,000 secured bond.
