Harris joines medical center

LUMBERTON — John J. Harris Jr. has joined the medical staff of Southeastern Health, providing care at Southeastern Recovery Alternatives.

Harris earned a medical degree from University of Tennessee Medical School in 1984. He completed residency training in anesthesiology from the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences in Little Rock, Ark., in 1987 and a fellowship in addiction medicine at Wilmington Treatment Center in Wilmington in 2012. He is board certified in both anesthesiology and addiction medicine. He currently serves as medical director for Coastal Horizons Center in Wilmington, N.C., a clinic which offers addiction and psychiatric services.

Harris offers a Buprenorphine clinic at Southeastern Recovery Alternatives to treat opiate-dependent patients on Fridays from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. For information or to schedule an appointment, call Southeastern Recovery Alternatives at 910-272-3030.
