LUMBERTON — A Parkton man has been arrested in the shooting death of a man whose body was found outside a Lumber Bridge home nearly two weeks ago, according to the Robeson County Sheriff’s Office.
Damaus Qonta Bridges, 22, was charged Wednesday with second-degree murder and jailed under a $50,000 secured bond.
Bridges, who lives on Plateau Lane in Parkton, is accused of killing 31-year-old Johnny Isaac Robinson, according to Maj. Anthony Thompson, chief of detectives. Robinson’s body was found with multiple gunshot wounds outside of a home at 291 Knapdale Road, a few hundred feet from where he lived.
Thompson said he didn’t know that if there was any relationship between Bridges and Robinson.
“More arrests could come out of the investigation,” Thompson said.
