LUMBER BRIDGE — Five men were injured in an accident at a church in Lumber Bridge on Thursday.

Sheriff Kenneth Sealey said the men were painting Lumber Bridge Presbyterian Church at 400 N. Fayetteville St. when a ladder they were on came into contact with electrical wiring around 9:39 a.m.

A sheriff’s report listed the names of three of the injured as Julio Campos, 20, Javier Pueros, 33 and Roberto Rovoiso, 30, but the report had no information on their conditions.

Sheriff’s Detective Howard Branch said on Thursday CP was performed on two workers who may have suffered critical injuries.

The Robesonian tried repeatedly on Friday to get updates on their conditions and details of the accident, but Branch was not in the office and repeated efforts to reach Sealey failed.
