Robeson County Sheriff Kenneth Sealey said the men were painting Lumber Bridge Presbyterian Church at 400 N. Fayetteville St. when a ladder they were on came into contact with electrical wiring at 9:39 a.m. on Thursday
Javier Pueros, 33, who was also known by the name of Francisco Javier Quivoz Povar, died at Southeastern Regional Medical Center in Lumberton, according to sheriff’s Detective Obershea.
Julio Campos, 20, is listed in stable condition at the Burn Center at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, Obershea said. A hospital spokesperson said they had no record of Campos being at the hospital.
Roberto Rovoiso, 30, also known as Luis Alberto Estrada and Jose Tapia, 18, were treated and released the same day from Cape Fear Valley Medical Center, according to Obershea.
