PEMBROKE — The A.D. Gallery at The University of North Carolina at Pembroke will present “Misfits,” an exhibition of the work of seven UNCP senior art students.
The 2017 Spring Semester Senior Exhibition will open March 20 and continue through April 13. A reception will be held from 2 to 4 p.m. on March 20.
The A.D. Gallery is located in Locklear Hall. The artists will be available during the reception to answer questions and offer methods behind their work.
The exhibition is free and open to the public.
The participating artists are Amy Groves, Amy Ruiz, Anisha McDowell, Christian Happel, Courtney Hockett, Frida Mejia, and Jai Woods.
The students embrace the wide spectrum of themes explored through their work: nature, form and function, cultural identity, and restraint of expression.
The show is representative of the artists’ best and most recent work from their college career. There is a variety of media incorporated throughout the show, including ceramics, steel, installation, painting, video, digital photography, fabric, and printmaking.
The exhibition curator is Nancy Palm, A.D. Galley director. For information, call 910-775-4264 or email email@example.com.
