Job Fair: The Robeson Community College Career Fair will be held from 10 a.m. until noon in the Fred G. Williams Jr. Student Center. This annual event is open to all RCC students and alumni. Students will have an opportunity to meet with employers to discuss employment opportunities that are available in this area.

County convention: The Robeson County Republican Party will hold its annual County Convention at 6 p.m. at the Lion’s Club Building located on Carthage Road. Dallas Woodhouse, executive director of the North Carolina Republican Party, will be the keynote speaker. Registered Republicans are invited to attend.

Givens Performing Arts Center in partnership with the UNCP Office of Diversity and Inclusion and Jumbo Arts International will host “How We Got Here: Songwriters on Social Justice,” featuring Reggie Harris and Scott Ainslie. They will sing historical blues and will discuss the blues genre’s historical perspectives in social justice. This will be a limited seat engagement, and attendees are encouraged to get tickets soon. Easter egg hunt: Jones Lake State Park, located at 4117 NC 242 North, in Elizabethtown, will have its annual Easter egg hunt from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., sponsored by Friends of the Bay Lakes. There will be games, concessions, crafts, prizes and special events. The event is free and open to the public but pre-registration is required. For the Blind: Sunshine Seekers is a support group that meets at 10 a.m. on Thursdays at the Pine Street Senior Center. Participants must be legally blind. For the Deaf and Hearing Impaired: A support group for the deaf and hard of hearing is held every third Saturday of each month from 2 to 5 p.m. at Pine Street Senior Center.
