LUMBERTON — Area residents will have an opportunity on Oct. 14 to step up and help win the fight against Alzheimer’s disease.
The 2017 Robeson County Alzheimer’s Memory Walk will take place at Wesley Pines Retirement Community from 9 to 11 a.m. This year’s theme is “Here for you … Today and Tomorrow.”
Wesley Pines Retirement Community is located at 1000 Wesley Pines Road in Lumberton. In case of rain the walk will take place at Biggs Park Mall.
The fundraising event benefits Alzheimer’s NC Inc. Proceeds are used to fund educational services for people with Alzheimer’s disease, their families and caregivers, local support groups, and research. There will be speakers, information and other resources available.
Registration forms may be obtained at the event or from Kim Branch or Amy Hammond. There is no registration fee, but all participants are encouraged to raise $25.
