PEMBROKE — A national candlelight vigil against substance abuse will be held Monday.
The vigil will take place at 6:30 p.m. at Pembroke Park, which is across from The University of North Carolina at Pembroke. Its purpose is to raise awareness and to open doors to recovery by eliminating the prejudice associated with addiction.
The vigil is being sponsored by the Robeson Health Care Corporation. In the event of rain, the vigil will take place at Robeson Health Care Corporation headquarters at 60 Commerce Plaza in Pembroke.
