host walk, giveaway event

LUMBERTON — Southeastern Health’s Community Health Education Center is hosting a mall walk Monday through Friday from 7:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m each day. Tuesday seminar at mall

LUMBERTON — As part of Cataract Awareness Month, which is June, Dr. Richard Beauchemin, an ophthalmologist with Southeastern Eye Clinic, will share information about the conditions of the eye and treatment options on Tuesday from 8 to 9 a.m. in the retail space beside JCPenney at Biggs Park Mall.

for Thursday at hospital

LUMBERTON — Southeastern Health’s Southeastern Regional Medical Center will host a blood drive on Thursday from 10 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. in the hospital’s Assembly Room.

LUMBERTON — As part of Men’s Health Month, which is June, men are invited to enjoy a healthy breakfast on June 24 from 8 to 9 a.m. in the retail space beside JCPenney at Biggs Park Mall and listen as Dr. Dennis Stuart of Dr. A. J. Robinson Medical Clinic, shares information about wellness and preventative screenings for men.

Knee health seminar set

for July 2 in Fayetteville

FAYETTEVILLE — Learn about treatment of early to mid-stage osteoarthritis through a minimally-invasive partial knee resurfacing procedure during a free seminar hosted by Dr. Riyaz Jinnah, of Southeastern Orthopedics, on July 2.

The seminar will be held from 6 to 7 p.m. at Hampton Inn Fayetteville-Cross Creek Mall, located at 1700 Skibo Road. Check-in will begin at 5:30 p.m. and refreshments will be served.

group begin on July 6

LUMBERTON — Southeastern Health’s Maternal/Child Health Services division will sponsor a support group and class for breastfeeding mothers and their family members the first Monday of each month beginning July 6.

The support group will be held from 6 to 7 p.m. and the class from 7 to 8 p.m. in Community Classroom II off of the main lobby at Southeastern Regional Medical Center. For information, call Charlotte McDuffie, a lactation consultant nurse, at 910-671-5000, Ext. 3148, or email mcduff06@srmc.org.
