LUMBERTON — The Breakfast at Biggs speaker series will continue on Tuesday with Catherine Gaines, Southeastern Health’s lead patient navigator.

the importance of exercise

LUMBERTON — Candace Langston, clinical exercise physiologist with Southeastern Health, will present her program, “Fitness is Medicine,” on Wednesday.

host women’s health fair

LUMBERTON — Southeastern Health is sponsoring a health fair focusing on breast cancer awareness on Oct. 16.

Booths will be located throughout Biggs Park mall from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. and will feature educational information about prevention, detection and treatment of breast cancer. For information, call 910-671-5762.

Wesley Pines Retirement

Community to host walk

LUMBERTON — The annual Alzheimer’s Walk for Memory, hosted by Wesley Pines Retirement Community, will be held on Oct. 17.

The walk starts at the retirement community at 1000 Wesley Pines Road. The organizers of the event are raising money for Alzheimer’s North Carolina by selling raffle tickets for a three-night cruise to the Bahamas from Debbie’s Destinations.

Pembroke walk on Oct. 24
