Free seminar focuses on long-term care, will


LUMBERTON — The Elder Law Center-Surgeon Law Firm is holding a free seminar on Tuesday at the Robeson County Public Library designed to help people better prepare for their long-term care and preserve their assets.

It will be from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. in the Osterneck Auditorium 102 Chestnut St.

The focus of Tuesday’s seminar will be Medicaid Planning, Wills and Living Wills. Register for the first seminar by calling 910-272-0121.

The law firm will hold two additional free seminars to help with planning. The dates and topics are as follows: Oct. 24, Asset Protection, General Powers of Attorney, Health Care Powers of Attorney; and Nov. 14, Don’t Go Broke in a Nursing Home; Medicare – Medicaid; Veterans Benefits. They will also be at the Osterneck Auditorium.
