Fayetteville accident kills 2

FAYETTEVILLE (AP) — The North Carolina State Highway Patrol is investigating after two people were killed and two injured in a crash in Cumberland County.

According to local media outlets, a report filed by the patrol said the accident happened near the Gray’s Creek community about 3:45 on Sunday afternoon.

The victims were identified as 21-year-old Justin Tyler Romano of Wilmington and 22-year-old Wesley Jonathan Parker of Fayetteville.

The two were in a car going about 70 mph in a 55 mph zone.

The report said Romano lost control of the car and it slid broadside into a second vehicle. Two occupants in the second car were hospitalized.
