LUMBERTON — Because of damage done to its press during Hurricane Matthew, The Robesonian newspaper’s production schedule has been affected as the print edition must be published by our sister newspaper in Mt. Airy.

In order to continue delivery and at the same time consider the dangers that our roadways pose and will continue to pose for some time to come, The Robesonian will be changing its delivery schedule temporarily to a morning delivery to our readers so our carriers can remain safe on the roads. This schedule will impact our news gathering and thus you may see changes in when particular items appear in the newspaper. However, we will continue to update www.robesonian.com throughout the day with the latest information gathered by our news team.

Our top priority locally is to get our printing operation running again to minimize disruption in delivery. Meanwhile, repair to the massive damage to our building at 2175 Roberts Ave. in Lumberton continues with demolition of the impacted materials, drying out the building completely, then evaluating all electrical and HVAC systems. Once those tasks are completed, we will begin the repair process.
