City police seek help finding suspect in multiple crimes

LUMBERTON — The Lumberton Police Department is asking for the public’s help finding a man wanted in connection to multiple crimes committed in Lumberton, according to a police spokesman.

Darrick Lemorris McKenzie, 37, is wanted for felony breaking and entering and felony larceny from an incident that occurred on Tar Heel Road, a common law robbery and assault that occurred at the Hampton Inn in Lumberton on Feb. 14, and armed robbery and larceny of motor vehicle from an incident that occurred at 2702 Martin Luther King Jr. Drive in Lumberton on Thursday, Capt. Terry Parker said. He also is being sought for questioning regarding two additional armed robberies, larceny of a motor vehicle, another assault, and financial fraud.

McKenzie is described as 5 feet, 7 inches tall and weighing 130 to 150 pounds. His last known address is 106 Rachel Drive in Goldsboro.
