Lumberton police responded early Friday to an alarm at the Dollar General on Elizabethtown Road and found someone had tried to gain entry to the store by throwing a cinder block at the front door. An estimated $300 in damage was done to the door.

Ronald Pittman reported Thursday that someone broke into a property he manages on Winona Avenue in Lumberton and caused an estimated $300 in damage.

Charlie Britt reported Thursday that someone broke the glass in the front door of the IGA Fresh Foods on East Fifth Street in Lumberton and caused an estimated $500 in damage.

Doris Willoughby reported Thursday that someone used a fraudulent check in the amount of $5,653.75 to obtain goods from MNcNeill Jewelers on North Elm Street in Lumberton.

Donald Miller, of West 36th Street in Lumberton, reported Wednesday someone broke into his residence and stole a flat screen television, valued at $528, and $300 in cash.

James Inman reported Thursday to the Robeson County Sheriff’s Office he was the victim of assault with a deadly weapon on Dusty Road in St. Pauls.
