GOLDSBORO — A Red Springs woman is facing charges and two Red Springs men are being sought in connection to a break-in in Wayne County.

Ashley Taheisha Locklear, 25, of 679 McBridge Road, was arrested and charged with felony breaking and entering, and felony larceny for a break-in Wednesday in the Old Kenly Road area of Wayne County, according to information from the Wayne County Sheriff’s Office. Locklear was jailed and placed under a $10,000 bond.

Arrest warrants were issued for Bradley Wayne Locklear, 19, and Kevin Earl Lowery, 28, for the same break-in.

During the break-in investigation, it was learned that Smithfield police had stopped a vehicle with three people inside. The break-in had not been discovered at the time of the traffic stop. During the traffic stop, officers located items that were confirmed to be from the break-in. The property was seized and Locklear was arrested on outstanding warrants by Smithfield police officers.

The Smithfield Police Department later served Locklear with a warrant for the Old Kenly Road break-in and secured a warrant for possession of the stolen property.
