LUMBERTON — A Lumber Bridge man is being held on $1 million bond after being arrested on cocaine trafficking charges by the Robeson County Sheriff’s Office.

Michael D. Blackwell, of 777 McNeil Pond Road in Lumber Bridge, is being held on charges of trafficking in cocaine, conspiracy to traffic cocaine and maintaining a drug vehicle.

According to Capt. Reggle Strickland of Robeson County Sheriff’s Office, Blackwell was arrested May 11. Depending on the amount of cocaine Blackwell is alleged to have trafficked, he could face maximum sentences of 10 or 20 years in prison.
