Lumberton Councilmen Erich Hackney, left, and John Cantey board up a broken window Tuesday at a Willow Street home that was broken into recently. Helping the councilmen is police Officer Nolan Hunt. The men also replaced the home’s outside lighting. Hackney was in the Willow Street area when he came upon the house in which a young woman and her children live. Cantey happened to be in the community, which is inside his council precinct, speaking with residents.
