LUMBERTON — Brittany Freeman, of Lumberton, recently earned her certified public accountant’s license in North Carolina.
To earn a license, applicants are required to pass the a state exam and satisfy the education, work experience and moral character requirements of the North Carolina State Board of Certified Public Accountants.
As a certified accountant in North Carolina, Freeman must renew her licence every year and complete at least 40 hours of Continuing Professional Education.
FAIRMONT — A Labor Day sidewalk sale will be held from 7 a.m. to noon in downtown Fairmont on Monday.
Vendors and stores will have bargains and Tomboys Vending truck will have food for sale. There will be music and a cash prize drawing.
FAIRMONT — The town of Fairmont will hold a job fair from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Sept. 25 in the Heritage Center.
The will be more than 30 businesses that will be taking applications from job seekers.
