LUMBERTON — Kevin Bolin believes that his new Lumberton barbershop is a cut above most hair salons.
Located on West Fifth Street, the Chop Shop opened its doors on Aug. 7.
“We offer a nice, safe and clean environment to get services done,” said Bolin, a Lumberton native who has been cutting hair professionally for nine years. “We aim to please every customer.”
Bolin manages a small staff that includes barbers Dan Oxendine, who has been cutting hair for two years, and identical twins Matthew and Andrew Pierce, who have been cutting hair for four years.
The “barbershop quartet” offers cuts, colorings and shaves, as well as a variety of other hair styling services.
“Anything to do with you hair, basically,” Bolin said. “We have very experienced and dedicated barbers.”
Prices range from $8 for a basic children’s cut to $25 for a full coloring.
Bolin said that he’s pleased with the response the business has received so far.
“It’s been wonderful,” he said. “I just like making people look better.”
The Chop Shop is open from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. Mondays through Saturdays, and from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Sundays. For information, call 910-737-6007.
