To the Editor,
I know that I’m not the only senior with this concern. I lost my job to Mexico and just recently my husband got very sick.
We live month to month on Social Security. In December we bought propane gas at $362 for 125 gallons; on Feb. 13 the same amount cost $492.
We realize times are hard, but it seems that when gas is in high demand like during the cold weather we have just had, doesn’t it look like gas would be cheaper? Is this price gouging or what? We seniors have enough to worry about besides the gas companies getting over on us.
So with that higher cost, where is this money coming from? Will it be medicine or groceries?
