To the Editor,
I just wanted to write and let you know how pleased I am with the article “Hidden in plain sight. Mother releases memoir following daughter’s suicide” by Jaymie Baxley.
I had contacted him and asked if he would announce the release of my new book “My Bright Shining Star: A Mother’s True Story of Brilliance, Love & Suicide” which I wrote about the suicide of my 23-year-old daughter Kaitlyn. She took her own life on April 11, 2013, and was a third-year medical student at Wake Forest School of Medicine in Winston-Salem at the time.
He did much more than just announce my book. He actually read my book and called me and interviewed me for the article. He also gave a good writing of what my book is all about and what I hope to achieve by it.
The article gave my book a great promotion and the online page has over 2,000 views at this time. When his article was released, my ratings of my book increased and my sales increased on Kindle. I don’t know how many paper backs I have sold because the publisher only lets me know every other month, but I know the article has increased my ratings and Kindle sales.
He did an excellent job with the article on my book and I just wanted to let you know and thank you for running the article for me.
