To the Editor,
Gasoline prices in Robeson County are not fair to all residents in Robeson County.
Recently the gasoline prices for regular were 25 cents per gallon cheaper on West Fifth Street in Lumberton than in Pembroke. It appears that the wholesale gas suppliers are charging Pembroke gas stations owners and other towns in Robeson a lot more for gasoline than Lumberton gas stations have to pay. It should not cost the wholesale gas suppliers 25 cents per gallon to transport the gasoline an additional 10 miles to Pembroke.
I am sure that all the gasoline is shipped to Robeson County from the same gasoline ports in Wilmington. Almost all of the service stations purchase their gasoline by the tanker load, which is 8,500 gallons.
