Roberts — Salazar
Larry and Kay Roberts of Red Springs announce the engagement of their daughter Whitnee Leigh Roberts to Elias Salazar III.
Roberts is a 2003 graduate of Red Springs High School. She is a 2007 graduate of Bladen Community College with an associate’s degree in Nursing and a 2011 graduate of Winston-Salem State University with a bachelor of science degree in Nursing. Currently, she is attending the University of North Carolina at Wilmington to obtain her master’s degree as a family nurse practitioner. She works for Southeastern Regional Medical Center.
Salazar is the son of Dahlia and Elias Salazar Jr. of Shannon. He is a 2003 graduate of Hoke County High School and is currently attending The University of North Carolina at Pembroke to obtain a bachelor of sScience degree in Criminal Justice with plans to attend law school. Salazar owns and operates the INK Depot in Raeford.
The wedding will be held Nov. 2 at 3 p.m. in Lumberton at the Pinecrest Country Club.
Strickland — Hardin
Eugene Strickland of Pembroke and Serena Sampson of Lumberton announce the engagement of their daughter Jessica Sierra Strickland to Bryan Hardin.
Strickland is the granddaughter of Theodora Hunt and the late Willie Hunt of Lumberton, Frances Locklear of Pembroke, the late Purcell Strickland and Jerry Ray Sampson of Lumberton. She is employed by McLeod Health Dillon as a registered respiratory therapist.
Hardin is the son of Timothy and Barbara Hardin and the grandson of the late Mr. and Mrs. Lonnie Hardin of Lumberton, Lacy Freeman and the late Barbara Freeman of Lumberton. He is employed by CSX in Hamlet.
The wedding was held on Saturday at The Rock Church of God in Lumberton.
Revels — Hunt
V.D. and Lucille Revels of Rowland announce the engagement of their daughter Dana Revels to James Hunt.
Hunt is the son of Ervin and Lillie Hunt of Rowland.
The wedding will be held at 5 p.m. Saturday the family’s home.
