LUMBERTON — The Boys and Girls Club of Robeson County will hold its 12th annual Duck Race at 11 a.m. on Saturday in order to raise money to make the club affordable for youths.

Participants pay $25 for a plastic duck marked with a number that will be dumped into the Lumber River. The owner of the lucky duck that crosses the finish line first will receive $2,000 if that person is in attendance, and $1,000 if that person is not in attendance.

The money raised helps the club provide services for youths for just $1 a year.

The event will take place at Stephens Park in Lumberton and will feature a performance from the Carolina Breakers at noon. For information, call 910-738-8474.
