FAYETTEVILLE — A honeymooner got the wedding gift of a lifetime when he was reunited with his stolen motorcycle, which was found in Robeson County.

Calvin Teeple’s 1999 Harley Davidson Heritage Softail was stolen on Feb. 19 while he was en route to Florida with his bride, according to a statement from the Cumberland County Sheriff’s Office. The bike was secured on a trailer in front of Teeple’s son-in-law’s home on Camp Lejeune Court near Hope Mills.

Following a “nationwide” search, the bike was found by Robeson County dheriff’s deputies weeks later in the woods, the statement said.

It was in the hands of Cumberland County deputies until Friday, when Teeple, 66, returned from his hometown of White Hills, Pa., to reclaim his beloved bike.
