PEMBROKE — The A.D. Gallery of The University of North Carolina at Pembroke is now featuring the third Biennial Contemporary American Indian Arts Series: “Native Voices and Identity Narratives.”
The exhibit runs through Oct. 28 in Locklear Hall. There is no admission fee.
Participating artists include: John Feodorov, Ken Gonzalez-Day, Alyssa Hinton, Shelley Niro and Wendy Red Star.

LUMBERTON — Communities In Schools of Robeson County has recently chosen England Heating and Air of Red Springs as its Volunteer of the Month.
The company sponsored children for a trip with the Parks and Recreation program, helps provide school supplies, and prepares BakPaks, a pack of food sent home to students for the weekend, once a month.
LUMBERTON — The PSAT will be administered at Lumberton High School on Oct. 16.
The test helps students prepare for the SAT and for college. The fee is $16 a student, which can be waived for 11th-graders who eat lunch at a free or reduced rate.
The deadline to register is Oct. 11.
