All of Robeson County public libraries have computers with Internet access available for the public to use. WiFi access is also available at each location if you want to use your laptop, tablet or mobile device. Our youth services team hosts weekly story times for preschoolers throughout the county. You can find information on our website, www.robesoncountylibrary.org.
Enter Our Photo Contest, “Geek the Library,” which is a national library awareness program with the core message that whatever you “geek,” the library has all sorts of materials to support your passions and interests. “Geek” means to love, to celebrate to have a passion for.
Take a photo of what you “geek.” It could be anything. The only rule is it has to be taken in Robeson County. Send your digital image to firstname.lastname@example.org with the words Photo Contest in the subject line. In your email include the name of your photo and some information about where it was taken and why it is important to you. Also include your name and contact information.
The library will post entries on our Flickr site and winners will be chosen by viewers’ choice. Photos will also be printed and displayed in the Lumberton Library.
The photo with the most votes at noon on Dec. 6 will win first prize, a $25 Starbucks gift card. The next three most popular photos will win second prize, a $5 iTunes card.
All photos must be family friendly and in jpg format. Hard-copy photos will not be allowed in the contest and will not be returned. Robeson County Public Library reserves the non-exclusive right to use the photographs at its discretion. The photographer is responsible for obtaining any necessary permissions if his/her photograph includes an identifiable individual.
