Power Point Church at 4282 N.C. 211, Lumberton, will have a King’s Kidz Safety and Awareness Day on Sunday from 4:30 to 6:30 p.m. The event will feature music, fire trucks, an ambulance, smoke house, food and fellowship.

Baltimore Baptist Church in Fairmont will celebrate homecoming on Sunday. No early worship will be held. Sunday School will be at at 9:45 a.m. and morning worship will be held at 11 a.m., followed by a luncheon.

New Point Baptist Church, located at 3410 S. Martin Luther King Jr. Blvd., will start its fall revival Sunday and it will run through Wednesday. Sunday services will begin at 6:30 p.m. and Monday through Wednesday services will be held at 7:30 p.m. The Rev. Lawrence Garner and the Rev. Brent Chavis are the speakers.

Greater New Bethel Missionary Baptist Church, at 172 Plainview Drive, Lumberton will hold its 78th Ushers Anniversary on Sunday at 3 p.m. Guest speaker will be the Rev. Vista Jones. McCormick Chapel Gospel Choir will perform.

New Beginning Church, at 950 Linkhaw Road, Lumberton, will have a nurse’s aid program on Sunday at 10 a.m.

Green Springs Baptist, 1095 E. Green Springs Road, Parkton, is having its annual Harvest Day on Saturday. Proceeds go to support local and foreign missions. There will be BBQ and chicken salad sandwiches, hot dogs, and hamburger combos for sale, activities for kids, and vendors. There will be awards for best tractor, best motorcycle, best motor, best paint, top 10 and best of show. For information, call the church at 910-425-8602.

Morning Star Community Church, at 702 Dunn Road, Lumberton, will hold “Youth Explosion 2016” Oct. 15 at 6 p.m. and Oct. 16 at 11 a.m. Oct. 15 will feature Saddletree Youth Choir, Victory Christian Fellowship Drama Team, Morning Star Youth Choir, Morning Star Redefined Worship Team, and a special presentation on both days of the stage play, “Hell is Real.” For information, call Roosevelt Scott, pastor, at 910-740-9840.

Harvest Church of the Assemblies of God, located at 986 Raynham Farms Road, Rowland, will have homecoming services on Oct. 16 beginning at 9:30 a.m. with the music ministry of the Mills Family. Guest speaker for the day will be Church of God State Evangelist Mike Mills. Harvest Worship and Creation Ministries will also provide music.. A covered dish traditional homecoming luncheon will be served following the service.

Grace Baptist Church, at 1127 Rowan Road, Lumberton, will have a singing on Oct. 21 at 7 p.m. featuring Sounds of Praise, Echoes of Faith, Tina Hunt and Family Devotion, J.R. Hunt, and Going Through with speaker Doug Campbell. They will serve food before and after the event.

Bethany Presbyterian Church, at 700 E. Elizabethtown Road, Lumberton, will host special services featuring: Minister Gary Robinson on Oct. 14 at 7:30 p.m., Minister Lori Washington on Oct. 15 at 4 p.m;, Elder Carlton Washington on Oct. 16 at 11 a.m., Minister. Dean Page on Oct. 16 at 4 p.m. and The Rev. T. Shedrick Byrd on Oct. 23 at 4 p.m.

Fairpoint Freewill Baptist Church, 1862 Marion Stage Road, Fairmont, will hold an appreciation breakfast for law enforcement officers, firefighters, and rescue personnel on Oct. 15 at 8 a.m. For information, call 910-628-5040.

Barnsville Baptist Church, at 234 Barnsville Church Road, Orrum, will hold homecoming services on Oct. 16 at 10 a.m. There will be a dinner following the Sunday morning service.

St. Pauls Presbyterian Church, at 228 N. Old Stage Road, St. Pauls, will host Ingathering 2016 on Oct. 20 from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. and from 3:30 to 6:30 p.m. featuring, for $8 per plate, chicken salad, barbecue, or combination plates. The chicken salad plate includes chicken salad on a bed of lettuce, spiced apple rings, captains wafers and cake.

Shekiah Glory Revival Center, at 1908 Elizabethtown Road, Lumberton will host its second anniversary gospel singing Oct. 21 and Oct. 22 featuring In Ya Faith Gospel Record’s Carlton Barber, Unity Quartet, and Patches Hunt and the Singing Believers, and Wanda Gordon on Friday. Saturday’s concert features The Tylers, Renewed Hearts, Donnie Rabon and Carlton Barber.

NEW New Life Church, at 3990 Fayetteville Road, Lumberton will have a yard sale on Oct. 22 at 7 a.m. to support the ladies ministry.

First Pentecostal Holiness Church, at 217 S. Pinehurst St., Aberdeen, will hold healing weekend services Oct. 22 and Oct. 23 with faith healing evangelist Art Thomas. He will lead services on Oct. 22 from 6 tp 9 p.m., and on Oct. 23 from 9 a.m. to noon and 6 to 9 p.m. Thomas is a missionary-evangelist and is the president and CEO of the Wildfire Ministries International.

Integrity Ministries is holding an event Oct. 22 called Not on My Watch aimed at stopping gun and gang violence in Robeson County and honoring victims of violence. Bethesda United Methodist Church, at 8417 S. Creek Road, Orrum, will have its annual bazaar and barbecue plate sale on Nov. 5. The bazaar starts at 10 a.m.; the plate sale will be held 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.

St. Joseph Miracle Revival Center will convene its 10th annual holy convocation and church anniversary on Nov. 11 and it will continue through Nov. 13 at 4657 McLeod Road, Red Springs. Services start on Nov. 11 at 7:30 p.m. with Bishop Gerard Wilson the guest speaker. Services continue Nov. 12 at 9 a.m. with morning prayers and seminars beginning at 10 a.m. Dr. Amanda Jones wll be the speaker at 2 p.m. Services continue Nov. 13 with Sunday school at 9 a.m.; Sunday morning worship at 10 a.m. and Apostle Anthony Buie the guest speaker.

Mount Sinai United Holy Church, at 117 Page St., Lumberton, will host a homecoming service “From Glory to Glory” Nov. 13 at 3:30 p.m. The guest speaker for the evening will be Bishop Bobby Jordan of True Deliverance Ministries International in Fayetteville. Voices of Distinction will perform.

Greenville Baptist Church will celebrate its 111th anniversary on Nov. 13 at 3:30 p.m. The guest speaker is the Rev. T. Shedrick Byrd, pastor of Sandy Grove Baptist Church.

A Gospel Jam Explosion will be held on Jan. 21 at East Bladen High School at 5600 NC 87, Elizabethtown featuring the performances of Renewal of Clinton; Spiritual Voices of Warsaw, Blessed of Spivey Corner and others. First Presbyterian Church in Lumberton invites the community to listen to the church’s services online at every Sunday at 11 a.m.

Lighthouse Ministries food pantry, located at 8878 N.C. 72 E. in Lumberton, serves the communities of Long Branch, Sand Hill, Broadridge, Mt. Elm, Smyrna, Proctorville, Orrum, Barnesville, Fairmont and Marietta. The pantry opens every second Saturday from 10 a.m. to noon.

Lighthouse Ministries will distribute TEFAP government commodities between 10 a.m. and noon on the third Saturday of each month for all of Robeson County.

Bethany Christian Fellowship holds its worship services at 10:30 a.m. on Sundays and at 7 p.m. on Wednesdays at the HealthKeeperz building beside Maxway on West Third Street in Pembroke.

First Missionary Baptist Church holds its worship services at 8:30 and 11 a.m. on the first through fourth Sundays of the month. There is no 11 a.m. service on the fifth Sunday. The church is located at 501 Martin St. in Elizabethtown. For information, call 910-862-4649.

House of Joy of the Lord holds its Bible study Tuesdays at 7 p.m. and Sabbath service Fridays at 7 p.m. Morning events on Saturdays include Bible study at 9 a.m., Sabbath service at 10 a.m. and a free Hebrew class at 11 a.m. The church is located at 508 E. 15th St. in Lumberton

Freedom Christian Fellowship holds its celebration service Sundays at 10 a.m.; prayer Mondays at 7 p.m.; free instrument training and playing Tuesdays at 7 p.m.; youth and children christian training Wednesdays at 7 p.m.; adult discipleship Thursdays at 7 p.m.; and on the first Friday of every month is a men’s and women’s meeting at 7 p.m.

Cedar Grove Baptist Church of Fairmont holds Bible study at 7 p.m. on Wednesdays.

The Pentecostals holds a group Bible study and prayer meeting Mondays at 6:30 p.m. and Tuesdays at 10 a.m. in the Refuge Youth Center. The church is located at 1011 Carthage Road in Lumberton.

Destiny Now Ministry of Lumberton meets at 11 a.m. each Sunday at the on Wintergreen Drive in Lumberton.
