FAIRMONT — “To God Be The Glory” was the title of the dedication service for the new Worship Center of the Balitmore Baptist Church on May 7 that attended by 185.

The new center is 8,400 square feet and houses the sanctuary, church offices, pastor study, kitchen and choir room. The dedication service attracted a large gathering to hear guest speakers Dr. Mike Moore, former director of missions for the Robeson Baptist Association, and Dr. Randall Jones, pastor emeritus.

“We’ve been blessed,” said Rev. Tim Tyner. “We needed more space. We needed two Sunday services in the old sanctuary, which will be used as a chapel for weddings and other events.”

Church activities abound at Baltimore Baptist. In the week after the dedication, a revival was held. The church has an entry in Relay for Life, which begins today.

Baltimore Baptist Church is located at 171 Baltimore Church Road, west of Fairmont off N.C. 130. The newly combined worship service begins at 10 a.m. on Sundays.
