RCCC benefit coming up soon

As enrollment continues to increase at Robeson County Community College, there’s at least one constant — the support of the Robeson County Community College Foundation, Inc.
The foundation provides financial support to programs, activities, and also gives scholarship to students. Next month golfers around the county can chip in with some help.
The foundation is hosting the 29th annual Clifford Bullard Memorial Golf Tournament Sept. 19 at Cliffwood Golf Course.
The tournament is a four-man captain’s choice with each team consisting of an A, B, C and D player. Play begins at 12:30 p.m. The entry is $75 per player, which include greens and cart fees, refreshments, mulligans, prizes and lunch an hour before tee time. Sponsorships are also available.
For information, visit robeson.edu/rcc-foundation or call Rebekah Lowry at 910-272-3235.
Dennis Andrews made a hole in one on No. 10 on Wednesday at Pinecrest CC. He holed out a 4 iron from 187 yards while playing with Bruce Mullis, Jeff Wishart and Gary Martin.
Pinecrest is hosting the McNeill’s Golf Outing on Saturday.
The four-man captain’s choice starts at 2 p.m. Registration is $50, which includes greens and cart fees, refreshments, prizes and lunch. For information, call Daniel McNeill at 910-374-5254 or J.R. Henderson at 910-733-0607.
The Robeson County Homebuilders Association is holding its fifth annual Swing for Charity Golf Tournament on Sept. 5.
The tournament is a four-man captain’s choice and starts at 1 p.m. There’s a $300 entry per team, which includes greens and cart fees, lunch, refreshments and a sign on a hole of the team’s choosing. Each team is limited to one player with a handicap of less than 5.
