Attention Nonprofit Leaders, Community Leaders and Government Leaders... The Southeastern NC Nonprofit Sector Analysis Results Briefing will be led by Dr. Laurie Paarlberg, UNCW faculty, January 7th. Do you know: How many nonprofits are located in your region? The fiscal health of nonprofits in the region? How the nonprofits are different from region to region of NC? UNCW’s nonprofit capacity-building initiatives, QENO and SNAP, in conjunction with Kate B. Reynolds Charitable Trust, Cape Fear Memorial Foundation, and United Way, have conducted a thorough analysis of the state of the nonprofit sector in Southeastern North Carolina. The results of this study will be released in two community briefings. Nonprofit organizations are cornerstones of healthy communities in Southeastern North Carolina. They provide critical services, improve quality of life, and contribute to economic development. However, nonprofit organizations operate in difficult times and face unique challenges. Community decision makers and nonprofit leaders increasingly benefit from a stronger understanding of the strengths and limitations of the nonprofit sector in their region. Everyone is welcome and encouraged to attend. Registration is required.
