I have been the editor of The Robesonian since 1994, and have lived in Robeson County for almost 40 years of my life. I began my journalism career working in sports at The Robesonian in 1983, and have a total of 23 years of experience at this newspaper. I am the person to call with suggestions for news stories, questions about how to submit information, letters to the editor, complaints, etc.

I have been a journalist for 25 years, having been a reporter and news editor for weekly and daily newspapers in both New Jersey and North Carolina. Originally from Glassboro, N.J., I hold a political science degree from Albright College, Reading, Pa., and a communications degree from Rowan University, Glassboro, N.J.I've been a staff writer at The Robesonian since December 2007. Currently, I cover county and state government; the Lumbee Tribe; social services; and the communities of Maxton and Rowland.

I graduated from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill in Dec. 2010 with a double major in journalism and Spanish and started at the newspaper two weeks later. Among my beats, I cover Lumberton City Council, St. Pauls Board of Commissioners, Red Springs Board of Commissioners, Public Schools of Robeson County and the Board of Education, Robeson County Health Department, Robeson County Animal Shelter, Southeastern Regional Medical Center and much more.
