Raymond Hunt, 23, of Recreation Road, Maxton, is charged with first-degree murder in the death of Crystal Locklear. Locklear was killed on Oct. 15 while traveling in an SUV with her boyfriend, 23-year-old Tommy Lloyd, and the driver, 23-year-old Christopher Lee Locklear.
John “Blue Eye John” Darren Bullard, 23, of 1029 J.R. Road, Maxton, Joshua Wayne Locklear, 27, of Rowland, and Cashley Scott, 23, J.R. Road, Maxton, were each charged earlier this month with first-degree murder.
Hunt, Bullard and Joshua Locklear are also were each charged with felony conspiracy to commit murder and felony shooting into occupied property. On Friday, Raymond Hunt was charged in an unrelated incident with armed robbery, according to a sheriff's report.
Lakisha Locklear, of Pembroke, and Karen Johnson, of J.R. Road, Maxton, have each been charged as an accessory after the fact to felony first-degree murder.
Pembroke Police Chief Frank Hernandez said said Lakisha Locklear and Johnson did not participate in the murder, but are accused of giving false information that impeded the investigation. They are jailed without bond.
Locklear was released after she posted $30,000 bail, and Johnson was released after she posted $10,000 bail.
Police say Crystal Locklear was not the intended victim. Her sister, Beth Locklear, said the shooting stemmed from a previous dispute between Christopher Lee Locklear and Bullard.
Crystal Locklear was shot in the chest with high-powered pistol as the SUV traveled on Union Chapel Road. She lived at 11 Vondy Drive with a 15-month-old daughter.
Lloyd, of Fourth Street, Pembroke, was struck in the arm by gunfire. He was treated and released from Southeastern Regional Medical Center. Christopher Lee Locklear, of McInnis Road, 23, Pembroke, was not injured.
Hernandez credited the SBI with assisting the murder investigation.
