Pembroke native Billy Lowry, right, with Dr. C.C. Crittenden views an antique gun supposedly owned by his uncle, Henry Berry Lowery, at the North Carolina Hall of History in 1959. Lowry, the son of Calvin Lowry, was 98 at the time.
