Smith-Pass

Ricky and Alice Smith of Lumberton are pleased to announce the engagement of their daughter, Latonya Allison Smith, to Stephen Bradley Pass, son of Stephen and Beth Pass of Greenville.

The ceremony will be held on June 23 at the Rock Springs Center in Greenville.

Hunt-Cogdill

Rose Mary Brooks and the late Bobby Ray Hunt Sr. of Fairmont are pleased to announce the engagement of their daughter, Bobbie Hunt Winningham of Parkton, to Karreem Cogdell, son of Vernice Jackson and the late Horace Jackson of Whiteville.

Winningham is the granddaughter of the late Rosie Benton and James Gibson of Wilmington, and Minnie and the late James “Nick” Hunt of Fairmont. She attended Fairmont High School and Robeson Community College and works for Mountaire Farms.

Cogdell is the grandson of John D. and Willow Dean Cogdell of Whiteville. He attended Whiteville High School and works for Mountaire Farms.

The ceremony will be held at 3 p.m. on Aug. 26 at North Myrtle Beach, SC.

Dunn-Bedtelyon

Mr. and Mrs. Kenneth R. Dunn, of Fayetteville, announce the engagement of their daughter, Hillary Beth Dunn, to Jonathan David Bedtelyon, both of Fayetteville.

Dunn is the granddaughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Pittman Chavis of Lumberton, and the late Mr. and Mrs. Billy R. Dunn of Roanoke Rapids.

Bedtelyon is the son of Mr. and Mrs. David Bedtelyon of Fayetteville. He is the grandson of Mr. and Mrs. John Goins and the late Jay Bedtelyon of Fayetteville, and Mr. and Mrs. Roger and Joy Reed of Michigan.

The couple will exchange wedding vows on July 12 in Fayetteville.

WEDDING

Lamb

Julie Elizabeth Lindsey of Lumberton and Brenton Baker Lamb of Lumberton were married at 6:30 p.m. on June 16 at Chestnut Street United Methodist Church. The Rev. Mitchell Tyner officiated.

The bride is the daughter of Rusty and Lori Lindsey of Lumberton and the granddaughter of Margie and the late D.R. Tyson, and Uldene and the late Turk Lindsey. She attended Lumberton High School and The University of North Carolina at Charlotte and works for the Public Schools of Robeson County.

The groom is the son of Baker and Connie Lamb of Lumberton and the grandson of Dovie and the late Eldon Lamb, and Inez and the late Horace Wilkins. He attended Lumberton High School and Robeson Community College and works for the Robeson County Sheriff’s Department.

The maid of honor was Lindsay Pyatt of Charlotte, and the bridesmaids were Brittany Gaines, Katie Floyd, Hannah Moore, Chastity Caulder and Holly Robinson.

The best man was Baker Lamb, and the groomsmen were Joey Waddell, Matt Jones, Brian Keith Mercer, Trevor Lindsey and John Robinson.

The musicians were Jan Kennedy, Ashley Allen and Mitch Miller. The wedding director was Billy Davis.

The engagement party was hosted by maid of honor Lindsay Pyatt and Rusty and Lori Lindsey at their home. The bridal shower was hosted by the bridesmaids at the home of Katie Floyd. The couple’s shower was hosted by the groom’s family at Zion’s Tabernacle Baptist Church. The cocktail party was hosted by Drew and Tina Bullard, Todd and Cindy Reisman and Bobby and Kathleen Little at the home of Drew and Tina Bullard. The bridesmaids’ brunch was hosted by Iris Moore at Abigail’s Tea Room. The rehearsal dinner was hosted by Baker and Connie Lamb at Adelio’s. The reception was hosted by Rusty and Lori Lindsey at the Pincecrest Country Club.

Following a cruise to the Bahamas, the couple will reside in Lumberton.
