Benjamin Hill, 64, of Fairmont, died Oct. 7, 2012, at his home.
The funeral will be private.
He was born Feb. 25, 1948, in Robeson County to the late Dayton Hill and Eunice Nance Hill.
He served in the U.S. Army and was also the town manager for the town of Fairmont for many years.
In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by a grandson, Matthew Tyler Rogers.
He is survived by a son, John D. Hill of Fairmont; a daughter, Kathrina Hill Rogers and husband Richard of Lumberton; two brothers, Dan Franklin Hill of Fairmont and Arland Hill of Lumberton; two sisters, Joan Beth Taylor of Newport News, Va., and Daphne Ann Bennington and husband Don of Smithfield, Va.; and three grandchildren, Parker Rogers, Miranda Hill and Michael Baty.
The visitation will be from 7 to 9 p.m. today at Floyd Funeral Services in Fairmont.
