Greenbrier to hold open house

FAIRMONT ─ Greenbrier, a 100-bed DePaul Senior Living Community located at 703 S. Walnut St., will celebrate its recent expansion and renovations with a open house and ribbon-cutting on Tuesday from 3 to 6 p.m.

Greenbrier added 12 licensed beds to the existing 36 for residents with Alzheimer’s disease and other forms of dementia.

The Christian music radio station, 100.9 The Cross, will be broadcasting remotely from Greenbrier. There will be door prize drawings, booths by community businesses and organizations, snacks and refreshments as well as a visit from the ROTC.

Beach Bash set for Thursday

FAIRMONT — Fairmont Chamber of Commerce will host its fourth annual Sizzling Summer Beach Bash with a performance by the Carolina Breakers on Thursday from 5:30 to 9 p.m. at the Fairmont Golf Club.

The event, which is free, will offer a variety of food and drinks for sale, including beer and wine.
