Connie Jean Richards Jacobson, 66, of Carolina Shores, formerly of Lumberton, died Aug. 6, 2012, at her residence.

The funeral will be conducted at 1 p.m. Saturday in the Brunswick Funeral Service Chapel in Shallotte. Interment will follow in Brunswick Memorial Gardens.

Born in Decatur County, Iowa, on Nov. 14, 1945, she was a daughter of the late Earnest and Mary Elizabeth Moore Richards. Connie was raised in Mount Ayr, Iowa. She was married in Indianola, Iowa, to Robert D. Jacobson on June 14, 1974. She was the secretary/paralegal of Robert Jacobson’s law office for more than 30 years in Lumberton.

Connie was preceded in death by siblings, Marian Skinner, Bonnie Richards, Jane Hutt, Allen Richards and William “Bill” Richards.

Surviving are her husband, Robert Dale Jacobson; brothers, Robert Richards and Charles Richards; and sisters, Anne Sickels and Sue Sickels.

The family will receive friends from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home.
