n Break-ins

LUMBERTON — Robert Casson, of Casson’s Quick Check at 612 Roberts Ave., reported on Monday that someone broke into the business by breaking a window and stole 14 cartons of cigarettes valued at $705, according to a police report. Damage to the window was estimated at $1,000.

LUMBERTON — Christopher King, of Warwick Mill Road, reported on Tuesday that someone broke into a 2000 Nissan Altima belonging to his girlfriend, Denise Elizabeth Smith, of Warwick Mill Road, and stole a $100 radio and two stereos valued at $300, according to a police report. Damage to the vehicle was estimated at $200.

LUMBERTON — Sandell Clawson, of Clawson Barbershop at 1100 Martin Luther King Drive, reported on Tuesday that someone broke into the business by knocking an air-conditioning unit out of a window and stole a $350 lawn mower, a $200 hedge trimmer, and a pair of $1,500 hair clippers, according to a police report. Damage to the air conditioner and a sink was estimated at $1,000.

LUMBERTON — Tracy Lassiter, of Velcord Drive, reported on Tuesday that someone broke into her home and stole her $600 handgun, according to a police report.

n Fraud

LUMBERTON — Elmer Ray McDonald, of Kite Road, reported on Tuesday that he received a counterfeit $10 bill from the Tax Department at 500 N. Elm St. and he did not realize it was counterfeit until he tried to use it at the Division of Motor Vehicles at 220 Chestnut St., according to a police report.

n Hit-and-run

LUMBERTON — Anthony M. McRae, of West Fifth Street, reported on Tuesday that someone hit the driver side of his 2005 Dodge Magnum while it was parked at Walmart at 5070 Fayetteville Road, causing $300 damage, according to a police report.

n Robbery

LUMBERTON — Mike Murphy, of Canal Street, Fairmont, reported on Tuesday that someone stole $135 cash from him at gunpoint while he was in the parking lot of Southeastern Regional Medical Center at 300 W. 27th St., according to a police report.

n Thefts

LUMBERTON — David Zimnick, of Edwards Telecommunications at 777 Old Clemson Road, Columbia, S.C., reported on Tuesday that someone stole a $300 tool bag and tools, a $350 Condux Gemstar box and parts, and a $7,400 Condux power pack from the cargo area of his 2006 Chevrolet C1500 while it was parked at Atkinson’s Inn at 3003 W. Fifth St., according to a police report.

LUMBERTON — Clinton Butler, of Martin Luther King Drive, reported on Tuesday that someone stole his 1999 Lincoln Navigator while it was parked at Starlite Food Mart at 3102 S. Martin Luther King Drive, according to a police report.
