n Break-ins

LUMBERTON — James M. Tanner, of Chloe, W.Va., reported on Thursday that someone broke into his 2004 Chevrolet Cavalier while it was parked at Deluxe Inn at 3510 Capuano Drive, and stole clothes valued at $900, according to a police report. Damage to a window was estimated at $500.

LUMBERTON — Marshall Matthew Hall and Craig Clifton Jr., of Hall Communications in Lakeland, Fla., reported on Thursday that someone broke into Hall’s 1996 Toyota pickup truck while it was parked at Quality Inn at 3070 Roberts Ave., and stole a $170 GPS, a $250 handgun, and a $475 rifle, according to a police report.

LUMBERTON — Anthoney Chavis, of Comfort Suites at 215 Wintergreen Drive, reported on Thursday that someone stole a $700 television from one of the business’ storage rooms, according to a police report.

n Fraud

LUMBERTON — Girlie Jacobs, of State Employees Credit Union at 2739 W. Fifth St., reported on Thursday that a customer tried to deposit a counterfeit $20 bill, according to a police report.

n Theft

LUMBERTON — Jo Tudor, of North Pine Street, reported on Thursday that a man riding a bicycle stole her purse valued at $75 while she was walking between East 15th and East 16th streets, according to a police report.
