LUMBERTON — Terry Jones, of Martin Luther King Jr. Drive, reported on Wednesday that someone took a $150 handgun and jewelry valued at $800 from her home, according to a police report.

Jones also reported that the burglar had scratched the paint on her 2001 GMC Yukon, causing $1,200 damage.

LUMBERTON — Alawdi Mansoor, of East 12th Street, reported on Wednesday that someone broke into a home on Elizabethtown Road that he rents from Laiken Rentals, at 2402 Fayetteville Road, and took a $500 refrigerator, according to a police report.

Mansoor reported $300 damage to a door.

LUMBERTON — Tim Harris, of Charlotte, reported on Wednesday that someone broke into a trailer belonging to 800 Rentals at 2501 Westinghouse Boulevard in Charlotte while it was parked at a construction site at 1703 W. Fifth St. and took a $3,000 generator and surveying equipment valued at $100, according to a police report.

LUMBERTON — Andrina Thompson, of Pearl Street, reported on Wednesday that someone pried open a door to her home and took a $500 television, a $140 video game system, a $147 cell phone, and a government-supplied cell phone of unknown value, according to a police report.

I like the one about the scratching the paint job.

Hard to believe a criminal would scratch your paint on your truck while waiting to break into your house. Gotta love insurance fraud.
