To the Editor,
You always hear the same old cliche, “Republicans are for the rich and Democrats are for the poor.” I believe this could not be further from the truth.
If that is the perception of the brand and if you believe that to be true, let me author you this: Republicans win elections by the expression of ideas. Ideas and principles that this nation was founded upon — life, liberty, the pursuit of happiness, individual rights and responsibilities, respect of life, and the belief that the government has a place is society that is limited to the provisions of the constitution. The idea that everyone should have an equal opportunity to succeed, not the opportunity to share other’s success, beliefs and values, that a majority of Americans can agree on and cherish.
But Democrats prefer to divide America by race, religion, ethic group, social status, class, and sexual orientation; they divide America by all types of demographics and patch together enough votes to get their 50 plus one in elections.
This November, let us stand again with the ideas and principles of America: Do not fall for the divisive tricks that Democrats have used for decades.
This November, vote Republican; save the republic.
